About the Position:
The Adjunct Applied Trombone Professor will teach individualized lessons, starting August 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Applied Trombone;
- Provide leadership to Mason's Trombone Studio to include coordination of studio classes as well as on-campus and off-campus performances and events;
- Coordinate recruitment for the Trombone Studio;
- Coordinate recitals and juries for the Trombone Studio; and
- Participate in Brass Area initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Music or equivalent professional experience required;
- Successful experience teaching at the college level;
- Desire to work with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds; and
- Established reputation as a professional artist with a documented portfolio of live performances and recordings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Music.
